Antioch School's 5th grade students held a Greek Mythology Lecture.

Antioch School's 5th grade students held their very own Greek Mythology Afternoon Lecture for the entire student body, last week. That same night, they held a Greek Mythology Night for Family and Friends. Each student decided on which Greek God or Goddess to lecture on. Students used multiple types of materials to research and write about their Gods. Many Students used display boards with photos and symbols for their oral presentations! Ms. Diane Correia commented "I am extremely proud of my students for a job well done"
They had an audience of over 75 students and staff all listening to their speeches and they exceeded my expectations on their performances. We have talked and studied about the Roman Empire for a few weeks, this was a way to tie all of our knowledge and to practice our Communication skills in one large project.
The Antioch School provides its students with strong academic and social skills. Students have many opportunities for creative learning through group projects. Students are taught the values of trust, sharing and self-esteem through constant reinforcement of positive behavior
