Antioch School Egyptian Day

Fifth grade students in Ms. Diane Correia's class created an Egyptian tour Monday November 22, 2010 at The Antioch School. Students had the opportunity to present speeches to groups to inform them on what they learned from the project and time period. Some of the topics included:

Timeline for Wrapping a Mummy (70 days)
How the Pyramids were built
Various Egyptian Gods & Pharaoh's
Everyday life and the different society classes

The Antioch School provides its students with strong academic and social skills. Students have many opportunities for creative learning through group projects. Students are taught the values of trust, sharing and self-esteem through constant reinforcement of positive behavior.
